Our Servant Leader

Lakisha Johnson is a servant leader and daughter of God who seeks to do well with all He’s entrusted her with. She is a wife of 25 years to Willie, mother to Gabrielle and Christopher and Grammie to Hailey Brielle. She’s also a daughter, sister, niece, aunt, cousin, and friend.

God called her to carry the mantle of His word and she accepted on August 28, 2014. On April 26, 2015, under the leadership of her uncle, Pastor Larry Rucker at Macedonia MB Church, in Hollywood, MS; she was ordained to go ye therefore into the nations.

God didn’t stop there because then He gave her purpose and talents and anointed her for service. Lakisha dutifully served as Co-Pastor, Youth/Young Adult Bible Study Teacher, and Choir Member of Macedonia for over fourteen years. She’s an avid blogger, and published author of over thirty Christian Fiction books, journals, and devotionals. She’s been a Sr. Business System Analyst in the transportation industry for over 21 years. She’s a college graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Bible, an Associate Degree in Computer Systems, and an Associate Degree in Web Design.

But, if you were to strip away all of these things, you’d see that Lakisha is a woman who boldly, unapologetically, and gladly loves and works for God.

God called, I answered, and though the journey will not be easy, I’m delighted He has chosen me to help lead us to His glory.

A word from Lakisha

While all of what you’ve read above is true, this journey has not been easy. Truth is, I ran a long time before giving God a yes. I didn’t feel worthy, nor did I know what to do with such a heavy mantle. Who you see, the woman I am today was birthed from many failures, self-doubt, fear, and brokenness. I wasn’t trained to speak God’s word, life taught it. I wasn’t groomed, I was graced. I don’t preach because it’s pretty, I do so because I’ve been where some of you are. I know what it feels like to seem lost. Yet, I also know how it feels to put your life in God’s hands. This is why I serve God’s people.
