What We Believe

God – We serve the only true and living God of Heaven and Earth. We believe in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe in Jesus and that He died and was resurrected.

Bible – We study from, live by, stand on, and teach from the Bible, God’s word. We stand on Second Timothy 3:16-17, “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.”

Prayer – We believe in and stand on prayer. We believe prayer changes people and situations. We believe prayer invokes the presence of God. Therefore, we take God at His word, believing in Mark 11:24 that tells us, “I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.”

Integrity – We believe serving and operating with integrity reflects the splendor of who God is, what God has for His church and what God has for us.

Diversity – We believe Temple Church should model Revelation 7:9 (of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues). Therefore, we offer a safe space for all no matter your ethnicity. As long you believe and serve the God of the Bible, accept God’s word as truth, will keep an open mind and embody the image of Christ, you are welcome here.

Service – We believe God gives us gifts for the service of others. We believe in heartfelt, genuine hospitality that allows us to reach the unchurched, the hurt churched and the excluded. We model the behavior of First Peter 4:10 which tells us, “God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.”

Generosity – We believe giving is a method of worship and an example who Jesus is. We believe what the Bibles says in Proverbs 11:25, “The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.

“Better to be poor and honest than to be dishonest and a fool.” – Proverbs 19:1
