“You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.” Second Corinthians 9:7-8
Temple Church believes in the prosperity of God’s people. We also believe you aren’t cursed if you choose not to tithe, but you will because you trust God with it. Therefore, we give you the option to tithe, sow a seed or give an offering. What the difference?
Tithe: A gift of thanks to God for what I’ve earned as a result of my ability to work. It’s what I give my place of worship.
Seed: A pre-thanks to God for what I shall receive. It’s what I plant in places where it’s evident they’re fruitful/producing.
Offering: Anything extra beyond my tithe and seed.
